Eastern New England - Arlington Soap Box Derby
About Us

Welcome to the Eastern New England - Arlington Soap Box Derby’s Official Web Site!
In our 1st year, the EN-ASBDA is a youth racing event that is open to boys and girls between the ages of 8 through 17 that reside in Eastern Massachusetts.

This is a unique program in that it encourages close parent-child activities while building and racing a car. The construction of the gravity race car reinforces the importance of setting and completing goals while developing traits such as self-confidence, perseverance and craftsmanship. Parents can learn new abilities while teaching children proper use of tools. The youth is encouraged to do as much of the work as their level permits.

The Eastern New England - Arlington Soap Box Derby  will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2009, in Arlington, MA with a rain date oif Sunday the 7th of June.  The winners of each Division receive an all-expense paid trip to represent Eastern New England in the 72nd All-American Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio, the week of July 20 through July 25, 2009.

In addition, Rally races are held at various times throughout the spring, summer, and fall at different locations around New England. Our rally races allow you to accumulate All-American Soap Box Derby Rally Points which could earn you the right to compete in the All-American’s World Rally Championship held during the same week in July.
