is being transformed into the home of the 2011 Soap Box Derby! Join the fun Saturday, June 4th
beginning at 9 a.m. Come cheer
Arlington’s youngsters on and see who wins the Stock and Super Stock divisions
and heads to Akron, Ohio to represent our home town in the National race! Eastern Avenue will close at 7 a.m. and
re-open an hour after the winners of each division have been announced. If you can’t attend the race on Saturday,
make sure to tune your TV to Arlington’s Public Television station and check out
the action right from your living room!
Director of the Arlington Soap Box Derby, Cary Conrad, is
looking forward to the to the town’s participation in the excitement and
competition that surrounds Soap Box Derby racing. “These families, friends, and young adults
have all put their heart and souls into these automobiles. They have spent the last few weeks working
together and growing closer. Soap Box
Derby racing goes far beyond building a car, you are building memories.”

Child will drive a gravity powered race car
Child will build the car with Adult supervision
Fee is based on level of participation
The Arlington Soapbox Derby is looking for interested parties to assist the kids build their cars as well as help out during race day
